150 days!!!

Only 150 days until baby girl (we really need to decide on a name) is set to arrive!! We have been looking at different daycare centers and yesterday I was standing there zoning out as the lady giving the tour talked about warming bottles and sanitizing toys. I was staring at a precious little face that was attached to a chubby little baby girl that had almost succeeded in removing her sock. As we locked eyes, I realized I am going to be responsible for something as sweet and precious as you in 150 days. The thought of it nearly brought me to tears....chalk it up to hormones!
The weeks seem to be flying by lately. I am 18 weeks 4 days and we had our level II anatomy ultrasound this week. Everything went perfect. It was about a 30 minute ultrasound....pretty much the best short film I have EVER watched. The tech carefully checked her brain, measured her leg bones, checked kidneys, and all four chambers of her heart. They checked for a clef lip and we were even able to count 5 fingers on her right hand....she was hiding her left hand and was moving around like crazy.
This is her right hand...the thumb is tucked behind.

She is measuring right on track and she is totally healthy. She is up to a whopping 1/2 pound. The doctor said now is when she will starting putting on weight and fill out. I guess that means mama will start putting on weight too. I am only up 5lbs right now.

A few more pictures of our ultrasound....

She was laying on her stomach and wouldn't turn over so we could get a good picture of her profile.

These are her two little feet looking up from the bottom:)

I have become OBSESSED with http://www.etsy.com/ they have the cutest baby stuff. A lot of if is handmade and super affordable. I ordered these precious crocheted hats and they arrived today. I am so excited to see her in these. I am thinking of learning how to crochet in the next few months.

Nick and I also hit up a baby blowout sale on Sunday. We scored some super cute outfits for her and now that the doctor CONFIRMED for the second time it is a girl I am ready to cut off tags:)
This is one of Nicks favorites. If you know him at all....which I am assuming you do since you are following our baby blog...he loves Ralph Lauren Polo so baby girl got her first polo onesie.

And a close up of the polo symbol.....

This is going to be one spoiled little girl and I am totally fine with admitting it :)

Baby girls first trip to the shoe!

We ventured out to the OSU spring game yesterday...in the gloomy weather and rain. Once we got in the shoe the clouds parted and the rain stopped and we were able to enjoy watching our buckeyes!

Love my new OSU shirt...."Future Buckeye, Arriving Soon"

"You don't even look pregnant!!"

Feels like the weeks are just movin' right along now! I went to a girlfriends bachelorette party this weekend...luckily the host started the party at her house so it was pretty laid back. I decided to bail on part 2...the bars and dancing. It was fun to get all made up and try to look semi-cute...lately it is yoga pants and t-shirts or some kind of combo of maternity and non-maternity clothes I can piece together to look "ok" at work.
There were 3 first time moms in their first year of mommyhood at the party. They all said I didn't even look pregnant....part of this made me feel good as I am trying to not eat every cookie in sight....the other part of me was sad. I want to look pregnant!! And these girls have never met me before so do they just think I am normally fat?? Anyhoo...here I am ready for the party!

Shopping for a little girl is SO FUN! I have found some really good sales...baby jeans for $1.50 and cotton summer dresses for $3.50. I am buying the dresses in 9 month size so she won't wear them for a little bit but I just can't pass up a good deal when I see it! Here are a few of my favorites.....

Nick asked that I didn't buy "pink everything" so I have been trying to get other colors. I think these are so adorable. I LOVE the little cardigan.

I think this onesie is adorable....it is 3 months so she can wear it sooner than the little sundresses.....such a stylish little baby we are creating!
AND MY FAVORITE PART......
Ruffles on the bum!!!

Baby girl is growing like crazy.  She is the size of a pear but in the next three weeks she will be a cantaloupe!!  She is starting to put on fat this week. Who doesn't love baby fat?? HA!
I am anxious to feel her moving. I know it could be any day now and I can't wait! We think Dayton knows there is something in mama's belly. He is so careful and loving with me. He will come up and just sniff my stomach. It is very sweet and slightly annoying at the same time.

Apple....

No, we aren't thinking of naming baby girl "Apple" like Gweneth Paltrow but this week she has grown to the size of an apple!! I can't believe she is that big. By the way, I am loving apples right now:)

Nothing to eventful to report this week...we are not complaining since we have had a VERY busy few weeks full of chaos! Still trying to narrow down our top picks for names. We realized it is sort of a huge decision. This is something she will have to live with forever. We want to make sure we give her a name she will love and grow into, something she is proud of.

Although I have only gained 4lbs, there is a definite baby bump. I feel like some outfits, some days make it look bigger or smaller. I still haven't had a stranger comment on my pregnancy yet....when that happens I will probably be excited....I did catch an old lady checking me out though....maybe she just wasn't quite sure if I was pregnant or ate too many donuts!

Slightly hidden baby bump by Old Navy Maternity dress verses.....

Dayton staring at my bump when I put my hand on my stomach. More on how he is adjusting to our growing family soon!
