Boy or Girl???

We debated rescheduling this appointment after the crazy week but we have been anticpating finding out if baby Groves is a boy or girl since we find out we were pregnant....so Nick helped pull me out of bed (literally, he has to pull me up) and I showered for the first time in 5 days. By the time I got myself dressed and ready to go, I was already exhausted....and excited!!!

Baby G was moving around a lot. Everything measured perfectly....in fact, one day ahead. Here are some of the great pictures we got....
Head is turned a little away from us so it isn't a great profile shot but you can see how much Baby G has grown. The tech said baby is 6 inches all stretched out.

Great shot of the hand....Nick said it has long skinny fingers like it's mama....piano lessons someday maybe??

After what seemed like a LONG ultrasound but was probably only 5-10 minutes she gave us the news!!!

And here is "the shot" that tells it all.....

She was very cooperative and let us see everything we needed to see :) Then she rolled over and put her back to us....the show was over and she was done! Once again, stubborn like her mother!

Although I wasn't really feeling well enough for the marathon shopping trip I had mapped out, we did swing by Babies R' Us on the way home to buy a few pink things!

We needed a few "daddy" items...Nick was a little in shock at first. He said he never really considered the fact it could be a girl. He was convinced it was a boy because of so many generations of Groves boys....I guess we broke the mold. He will be such a great dad to a baby girl. She will have him wrapped around her tiny baby fingers :)

Pink baby Uggs were on sale for $6 and I couldn't resist! I love little baby socks and shoes...they are so tiny and if this baby girl is anything like her mother she will have a serious love for shoes!!
We are SO, SO excited to welcome our baby girl this fall. I love that we can refer to her as a "she" and not an "it". It makes everything very real! Let the planning begin......
